State hubs

Government schemes by state

Open your state or UT hub for local welfare samples, central schemes tagged to that location, and all-India programs you can usually check from home. Coverage is curated, not a full government catalog. Confirm eligibility on official portals before you apply.

State schemes versus central schemes

Central schemes are designed for the whole country, though states still handle much of the enrolment, verification, and grievance work. Examples include many farmer income, health cover, and scholarship programs that share a national brand but need state portals or CSCs for day-to-day steps. State schemes are funded or framed by your state government and may only cover residents of that state or UT. Both can matter for the same household.

Open your state hub to see curated local welfare samples alongside central schemes tagged to that location and all-India listings you can usually check from anywhere. Counts on each card reflect what we have curated so far, not every program that exists in government databases. If a popular local scheme is missing, use the official state portal linked on that hub and myScheme.gov.in as your next stop.

Residence proof, ration card state, and Aadhaar address often decide whether a state benefit applies to you. Moving districts or states can mean transferring cards or re-applying under new rules. Matching a listing on HowDoI India does not guarantee approval. Always confirm eligibility, forms, and deadlines on the official state or ministry website before you apply or pay anyone for help.
