Passport help, without the queue stress

Apply, renew, chase police verification, get a PCC, or handle OCI and name changes with step-by-step guides.

Before you book a slot

Keep Aadhaar, address proof, and photos ready. Check whether you need a fresh issue, reissue, or PCC before you create a file number.

Fresh vs reissue

First passport is a new issue. Expiry, damaged booklet, or name change is usually a reissue on Passport Seva.

Police verification

Many files need local police check. Track status early if the appointment is done but printing has not started.

What to prepare before Passport Seva

Keep Aadhaar, old passport (for reissue), address proofs, and a soft copy of your photograph ready before you open the form. Name spelling must match across Aadhaar, PAN, and school or birth documents, or the file stalls at police verification. If you need a PCC for a visa or an OCI for lifelong travel rights, start those after your booklet details are correct.

Appointment slots fill fast in big cities. Use the appointment guide when the calendar looks empty, and the police verification guide when status sits unchanged for weeks. For customs and gold rules on the way home, open the Travel category or the airport customs checklist.
